All the students(7th/5th/3rd) who have registered and paid fees for attending LV Switchgear Workshop are hereby informed to reach at seminar room,Electrical department at 10.15 a.m sharp on 25/09/19.  

Schedule of Workshop will be now between 25/09/19 to 27/09/19.

7th sem Students who could not attend workshop on 26/09/19 due to campus placement at dahod can go and visit COE, Faculty of Technology,MSU, baroda Centre for one day later on.

Chapter 2: DESIGN OF STARTERS AND FIELD REGULATORS:
Introduction and review of A.C. and D.C. starters; Schematic diagrams of control circuit and power circuit for starters with contactors and timers. Design of starters and Field regulators.
DESIGN OF SMALL TRANSFORMERS AND CHOKE COILS:
Design of Small single-phase transformers; Design of variable air gap single phase and three phase choke coil; Design of ballast .


Chapter 3: ARMATURE WINDINGS:
DC windings :
Simplex & Duplex windings; Lap & Wave windings; Applications; Basic terms related to armature windings; Dummy Coils; Equalizer connections; Split coils.
AC windings :
Introduction; No. of phases; Phase spread; Concentric winding, Hemitropic winding; Whole coil winding; Mush winding; Double layer windings; Integral slot lap and wave winding; Fractional slot lap and wave windings; Performance analysis of various windings.
